Mindfulness for pre-teen girls: Week one


This session involves group introductions, ground rules, identifying challenging situations, the introduction of belly breath and a beginners breathing technique.

If the girls wish to try something at home, they could:


1. practice the beginners breathing technique or the longer breathing meditation (see audios below),

2. try belly breath (see handouts for details),

3. think about one situation when a person has annoyed / upset them and write about how it felt (just a few sentences). We are going to use this next week.

No worries if you don't get time to do these things!!
